Inter-Ministry Committee on Youth Crime
Three sub-committees were assigned to study one of the three major social concerns of broken family, juvenile delinquency and drug abuse. The sub-committee that deals with juvenile delinquency is now known as the Inter-Ministry Committee on Youth Crime (IMYC) and it is chaired by Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee, Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs.

Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports
In recognition of the key role the Ministry has to play in developing our youth and grooming the next generation, it was renamed the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports in 2004. This signifies the Government's commitment to engage youth and involve them in national affairs.
