Leadership Development Grant (YLDG)
NYC's
Youth Leadership Development Grant (YLDG) supports the
development of leadership capabilities in youth, empowering
them to serve and be actively engaged in their community.
Who
may apply?
Youths
(aged 13-30 years old) attending leadership development
programmes on youth leadership, community project management
and/or service-learning application may apply for this grant,
which funds up to 50% of the training cost. The training
programmes should should be at least 4 hours and may be in
various format depending on the needs of the participants.
e.g. workshops, seminars, experiential activities and camps.

Are you planning an S-L project but
do not have sufficient funds?
Here's
how we can help!
The
NYC's Youth Development Fund (YDF) provides seed money to
help you initiate and implement S-L projects which benefit
the community and develop the youths simultaneously.

Who
may apply?
If
your project is:
A group
effort initiated and implemented by youths not older than
35 years, and endorsed by a recognised institution;
Beneficial
to the community and society at large and open to youths of
all gender, races and religious denominations;
Non-offensive
in content/ message, and carries no racial, political and
religious implications;
Organised
on a cost-sharing basis;
Innovative,
sustainable and has wide outreach; and
Must
have both youth development AND community service elements.
Please indicate in the application form that your project
is an S-L Project, and enclose a proposal of your project.
Applications are open throughout the year and should be submitted
at least one month before the date of the proposed project.
