YLDG recipients are encouraged to apply for NYC’s Young ChangeMakers (YCM) grant or the Youth Development Fund (YDF) as sources of funding for their community projects.

Young ChangeMakers (YCM)

• Grant scheme to help informal groups of youths or an individual youth to embark on their community project.
• Seed funding of up to 80% of project cost or $3,000, whichever is lower
• For short-term community projects, lasting not longer than 6 months by informal groups or individuals.
• Provides further support for young people in terms of peer mentorship from a panel of selected youths.

Youth Development Fund (YDF)

• Grant scheme to help Youth Organisations initiate and implement projects which involve both youth development and community service elements.
• Funding of up to 50% of allowable project budget submitted and each organisation can receive up to $15,000 per calendar year
