Youth Statistics
We aim to provide policy-makers, youth work practitioners and interested public with up-to-date statistics and figures on youth demographics and other relevant indicators.
Youth statistics are extracted from existing statistical studies done by the Singapore Department of Statistics, other ministries and statutory boards. These are collated for online publication on our website, which aims to be the central repository for all youth- related statistics. Essential statistics collated include:- demographics
- educational qualification
- occupation
- family formation
- language used
- religion
- profiles of youth who studied overseas or worked overseas
- profiles of new youth residents
- economic mobility
- health risk behaviour such as smoking, alcohol, substance abuse, etc.
- health, fitness and sports level
- interests & volunteerism
- juvenile delinquency and youth crime
NYC will not be conducting any primary statistical data collection.
