Be part of a research project that will change the way adults and young people in Singapore relate to each other.

What is the best way to reach out to Singaporean youths who need help?

We want to collect as many stories about teens in crisis and the adults that help them so that we can teach adults how to reach out to Singaporean teenagers.

The success of this project depends on reaching as many Singapore youths from different schools, religions, races and interests. The more feedback we get, the better we can effectively teach Singaporean adults how to treat you with the respect, care and concern you need to work through your life challenges.

  • You’ll get your voice and opinion heard
  • You’ll help adults form better relationships with youths like you. Imagine how that could help others in the future. Their experience may be less difficult because of Your Story
  • Your contributions are valuable. No one can tell us your experience like you!

Once again, many thanks for your personal story! We treasure and appreciate it!

To make the project work:

We need YOU to answer some short questions about a crisis in your teenage life.

When answering:

1) Make responses as detailed and descriptive as possible. Tell us everything you can.

Don’t worry; we will not release any of your personal information without you and your parents’ full consent.

2) Be as honest as you can.

Much of the miscommunication between adults and young people occurs because of misunderstanding, lies, and hidden information. This is your chance to set Singaporean adults straight about the issues facing youths today. Honesty is the only way this project can change this miscommunication.

3) Involve as many of your friends as possible

The more voices we hear from youths aged 13-25 regarding what are their difficulties and what adults can do to help them, the better! Let’s aim for 1, 000 responses! So we really have a youth voice. Our hope is that with enough responses, we can publish these findings so that they reach as many adults as possible.

If you, or your friends prefer to write your responses out by hand or in another language like Malay, Chinese, Tamil etc, please do so. All you need to do is send these responses to :
