  • Gain access to tremendous resources and an international network of like-minded professionals spanning the globe?

  • Keen to learn more about economic empowerment?

If that is you, then welcome to the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Professional Fellows Program (YSEALI PFP)! Happening from 23 April-31 May 2019, the program aims to build the leadership capabilities of youth in the region, strengthen ties between the United States and Southeast Asia, and nurture an ASEAN community.

To be eligible for the program, you must be:

  • A citizen and current resident of either: Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam.

  • Have demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills.

Spring application opens online at https://ais.americancouncils.org/pfp until 16 November 2018.

Interested applicants who wish to put NYC as one of their endorsers should email their detailed CV to valerie_tan@nyc.gov.sg by 25 October. NYC will then assess the request and inform the applicant within the first week of November as to whether NYC will be endorsing his/her application. In the event that NYC does not endorse an applicant, the individual will then have to look for another endorsing organisation.

In the meantime, applicants are strongly encouraged to start their application process as there are quite a number of sections to fill in, including writing essays. Applicants do not have to complete the form in one sitting and can save their work using the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of any page.
