Bilateral Youth Leaders Exchange Programmes (YLEP)
Sharpen your appreciation and understanding on global issues, while fostering new friendships with youth counterparts from the region. At the National Youth Council (NYC)'s YLEP, youths also get the opportunity to gain valuable insights from thought leaders and policy makers.
About Bilateral Youth Leaders Exchange Programmes (YLEP)
The YLEP is a key bilateral programme between NYC and youth focal point counterparts from partner countries that aims to:
Enhance bilateral relations by strengthening understanding and solidarity among and between young leaders from both countries;
Forge a stronger understanding of and appreciation for national policies, systems, regional developments and bilateral relations; and
Promote substantive dialogues amongst participants and with thought-leaders from diverse 3P sectors.
During the programme, youth leaders are presented the opportunity to engage with senior policymakers and industry leaders and visit innovative and impactful organisations.
The YLEPs have fostered stronger ties between Singapore youth leaders and those from Brunei, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and more.
