Impact, IRL
Impact, IRL is a one-day event that brings youth action to life. Co-organised by the National Youth Council (NYC) and the National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), it unites youths, community organisations, government agencies, and private and philanthropic partners to spark and power youth-led change in Singapore.
Youth Action Grants
No matter where you are in your changemaking journey, there is a grant for you. From the Microgrant for first-time project starters, to the Young ChangeMakers Grant for those ready to grow their ideas, to the Youth Action Grant for teams looking to create lasting impact, our suite of grants provides year-round funding support so that no youth is left behind. Take the next step and apply today.
Microgrant
The Microgrant is designed to help youths take the first step from idea to action. It offers funding of up to $1,000, covering up to 100% of supported costs, through a simplified application process with no pitch required. Whether it's a first project or a small-scale community initiative, the Microgrant removes barriers so you can focus on creating meaningful impact.
Applications will be at Impact, IRL. More information about the Microgrant will be made available soon.
Young ChangeMakers (YCM) Grant
YCM is a by-youth, for-youth programme that empowers youth curators in the grant making process and support other youths to take action to benefit the Singapore community and society.
The YCM grant provides seed funding of up to 100% of supported costs, subject to a maximum of $3,000 or $5,000, for youths to kick-start their project to benefit the Singapore community.
Youth Action Grant (YAG)
The YAG supports youth-led projects that are ready to scale up for sustained impact — not one-off events, but initiatives designed to increase its impact and keep serving the community over time.
YAG runs two grant application windows a year, with shortlisted applicants pitching to a panel of judges at the bi-annual Open Mic session. Where available, projects may also be open to Participatory Budgeting at the Youth Action Marketplace. The application window for the first cycle Youth Action Grant (YAG) will be open from 25 July to 31 August 2026.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to pitch their projects to a panel of judges at Impact, IRL on 31 October 2026, where the final grant award will be determined. The public will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite projects through a Participatory Budgeting exercise, giving teams the chance to receive additional funding. Successful teams can receive up to $70,000 in funding to develop and scale their projects for lasting community impact.
Youth Action Challenge (2020 to 2025)

The Evolution of Youth Action in Singapore has galvanized the Government, businesses and civil society to come together and create a nurturing ecosystem for youths to thrive. Partnerships with the private, people and public sectors enable NYC to expand our networks and broaden the range of development opportunities youths can tap on to discover their potential.
Since NYC formalised our partnership with Citi Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 2019 for the YAC (left), countless youths have launched successful initiatives in mental health, environment & sustainability issues, inclusivity and support for society’s vulnerable.
The Youth Action Challenge ran for 6 Seasons and was a key thrust of the SG Youth Action Plan (SG YAP), empowering youths to champion ground-up initiatives in partnership with government, businesses and community organisations. The structured six-month programme provided opportunities for youths to turn their ideas into reality through a series of curated workshop, mentorship and guidance from experienced industry professionals.
